On my quest to find a graphics program that's affordable, works with Vista and makes clean lines, I gave GIMP a try.
...
...zomg. Why didn't I try you out sooner??? I remember trying GIMP way back in its 1.x days when it was f*cking hard to understand, but it's gotten much much much x1000 better. The touch I get with the brushes is a-maaaaazing. Photoshop is great for lineart if you use the Pen Tool but since I'm rather hands-on and impatient, I think GIMP is a better fit for me *is content*
This looks really good. All my work is done in Gimp since I can't afford photoshop. Really nice job I think it looks great and I personally like this look myself too. ^_^
Really nice!! He's hot!!!! I tried out Photoshop sometimes before, and for some reason it gave me such a dark and depressing feeling that I cannot explain why. O.O Yay to Gimp!!!

Thank you I'd say the best way to get to know GIMP is to play around with it a lot. Try out tools that you've never seen before, play with the gauges to see what they do and I'm sure you'll find your own style I still discover something new every day with GIMP.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
